In the piece " The truck Stop as Community and Culture" his main idea is that a trucker is just like a cowboy. Understanding that the truck stop is like a home away from home is crucial to this piece. Kind of like no matter how far a cowboy may go he will always come back to his home. The truck stop is the home to the truckers and they will always comeback. This article most resembles a classical argument. He gives you an introduction and then narrates the whole piece while still giving you pints about what works and doesn't work in this culture. Then he defines the terminology discussed by the truckers and then sums up his work.
I am still lost about how to even approach this paper. I am confused about how to write this paper because even though it is a research paper I fill that most of the paper will come from field site and not the library. Since I am so used to doing research papers in the library it is kind of hard for me to right without having multiple books or reference materials. I have done my field sitings but the library research has been a little difficult for me. I still have to do the whole paper. This is not good because I have so many other assignments due on the same day. This paper is just reallying stressing me because I don't know how it's going to all come together. How does this paper get you interested in this subculture?
